Katie Morgan Promoted to Director of Natural and Cultural Resources
By Partner ESI
Partner’s New Director of Natural and Cultural Resources
Keeping in line with our entrepreneurial spirit, Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (Partner) has named Katie L. Morgan, EP, PWS as the Director of Natural and Cultural Resources (NCR). Ms. Morgan’s promotion will solidify the current natural and cultural resources staffing and service offerings into one comprehensive department. Ms. Morgan is a Professional Wetlands Scientist and Environmental Professional with over 10 years of experience providing related services including Wetland Assessments, Wetlands and Surface Water Boundary Jurisdictional Agency Verification, Section 404 and Section 401 Permitting, Permit Violation Resolution, Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys, Biological Assessments, Wetlands and Floodplains 8-Step Analysis, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) assessments.
Under the umbrella of NCR, the main service offerings are wetlands, floodplain, and biological consulting (natural resources); historical architecture, cultural and archeological services (cultural resources); and NEPA/State Environmental Policy Acts (SEPA). These services are essential for the development of green parcels, telecom sites, and for projects under the governance of all branches of government (such as HUD, USDA, FEMA, DOT, etc.) prior to undertaking any major federal action that significantly affects the environment. As regulations to preserve natural and cultural resources continue to evolve these services (both in the planning and project execution phases) will become increasingly important to ensure that proper consideration is given to the natural environment and cultural resources.
