Partner Bolsters Investment Advisory Group

By Misty Ponce, PE

Torrance, CA—Partner ESI has brought Misty Vazquez on board as a new national client manager. Vazquez, an environmental professional and an AHERA-certified asbestos building inspector, has over 13 years of industry experience in environmental due diligence, site assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance.

Vazquez will provide nationwide support to clients in the commercial, industrial, and multifamily residential property industries. She has devoted much of her career to consulting clients on environmental matters during acquisitions, development, disposition, and ongoing management and operations. Vazquez has managed numerous development-related projects including environmental assessments and remediation of Brownfields and historical agricultural sites proposed for multifamily residential use.

“Misty’s hire is well-timed with developers heating up as the data for housing starts to improve,” said Partner ESI President Joseph Derhake, PE. “Vazquez’s depth of experience will be an asset to Partner, and will help bolster our Investment Advisory Group to meet the increased needs of our equity and developer clients.”

Some of Vazquez’s previous projects include a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) on a 21-acre operating oil field in Santa Fe Springs, CA for RREEF America, LLC; a Phase I ESA on a 36-acre shopping center in Riverside, Calif. for UBS Realty Investors, LLC; a portfolio of over 30 Phase I ESAs and Phase II Subsurface Investigations on industrial developments in Tijuana, Mexico for G.E. Capital; asbestos surveys, remediation activities and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance assessments of industrial facilities in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and California for confidential clients; and a Preliminary Environmental Land Use Review for a 5-mile railroad lowering project in Placentia, CA.

“Partner ESI is going to see a lot more business from developers as they are getting active again,” said Vazquez. “I’m looking forward to working with Partner during the re-growth of that sector, as well as working with investors, corporations and others. It’s a great time to be serving the commercial real estate industry.”

Vazquez graduated with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from University of California, Riverside. She received her master’s degree in civil-environmental engineering from California State University, Fullerton. Vazquez previously served as the senior environment engineer for Golder Associates, Inc.
