Torrance, CA—La Casa del Zorro, a prominent luxury resort in Borrego Springs that sat vacant for three years, has recently sold to La Jolla Management LLC for $2.4 million. Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (Partner) completed comprehensive due diligence for La Jolla Management including a Property Condition Assessment, a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, a Seismic Probable Maximum Loss Report and a Zoning Report. The property includes a 44-room hotel as well as 19 stand-alone casitas situated on 42 acres.
“La Casa del Zorro is a well-known hideaway,” said Rob Vaughn, a Principal with Partner and the lead on the project. “It was great to work on such a distinguished asset and help our client breathe new life into it.”
The resort is expected to reopen May 1st after undergoing renovations and with lower room rates than previously, which should help increase business. For more about the project, see the San Diego Union-Tribune’s recent story.
